Strawberry Shortcake Sandwiches

Preheat your oven and bake the premade biscuit dough according to the package directions.
Before baking, roll the biscuits in sugar to coat them evenly.
In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Mix well, cover, and refrigerate the strawberries while the biscuits bake. This will allow the strawberries to release their juices and create a sweet syrup.
Once the biscuits are done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool to the touch.
Slice open each biscuit.
Add a generous dollop of whipped cream to the bottom half of each biscuit.
Spoon the strawberries, along with their sweet syrup, over the whipped cream.
Place the top half of the biscuit over the strawberries to create a sandwich.
You can choose to serve the Strawberry Shortcake Biscuit Sandwiches open-faced or press them together like a sandwich, depending on your preference.
