French Toast Batter
Cinnamon Sugar Topper
Preheat griddle to medium-high heat
Remove Hawaiian rolls from the package and with a sharp knife, cut a hole in the side that's roughly the size of a quarter, pull out the bread, and set aside
If preferred, place cream cheese in a plastic or piping bag. Fill the cavity in each roll with cream cheese. Place the removed piece of bread back in to close up the roll. If some cream cheese overflows out, that's ok.
In a bowl, mix milk, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon to make French Toast batter. Quickly roll the stuffed french toast in the batter, just enough to cover, we don't want to saturate the bread.
Add a layer of butter to the hot griddle and lay down each roll on the griddle, cook for about 1 minute on each side then flip and repeat on all sides. NOTE: griddles can have hot spots where different pieces of food will cook at different rates, make sure nothing burns.
When done cooking remove from hot griddle and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
Serve hot.
